In 1514 Cardinal Thomas Wolsey took over the lease of a small manor on the Thames near Kingston, this he expanded to form the foundations of Hampton Court Palace. The rest as they say is history.

"Father Abbot, I am come to lay my bones amongst you"

George Cavendish, Negotiations of Thomas Wolsey (1641), referring to Wolsey's arrival, already ill, at Leicester Abbey, Nov 26th, 1530, on his way to probable execution at the Tower. He died at Leicester on November 28th or 29th, aged around 55.

 
 

INGREDIENTS

2 measures of Thames Ditton Gin
1 measure of Vodka
1/4 measure of pomegranate molasses
Garnish with frozen pomegranate seeds to garnish (optional)
Soda Water
Ice

 
 

RECIPE PREPARATION

Mix the Gin, Vodka, pomegranate molasses add to glass of ice
Top up with soda water
Garnish with 7 (not 5, not 6) frozen pomegranate seeds to garnish (optional)
